For students who have been fully vaccinated, they are exempt from Covid-19 screening before departure and upon arrival, but it is advisable to continue to check with each airline and transit if they have their own requirements.

Students who have not been fully vaccinated or not vaccinated must undergo an RT-PCR Test within 2x24 hours before departure. Please ensure that the test results are in English. Students in this category will also be required to undergo a Professional RTK-Antigen Test within 24 hours of arrival at an authorized healthcare facility.
Any student showing symptoms of Covid-19 upon arrival will be required to undergo a Covid-19 screening at the airport.
All students who have been fully vaccinated are released from quarantine.
Students who have not been fully vaccinated or not vaccinated will be subject to mandatory quarantine of 5 days upon arrival. Hotel quarantine can be arranged via MySafeTravel (https://travel.myeg.com.my/). If students have a suitable address and adequate support to undergo home quarantine, they can continue to do so at home. They do not need to apply for home quarantine. Take the RT-PCR Test on Day 4 of quarantine OR professional rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) on ​​Day 5 of quarantine. If tested negative, the student may be released from quarantine on Day 5. If the test is positive, the student must continue quarantine for another 5 days.
Each student is also required to download the MySejahtera application before departure, create an account and fill out a pre-departure digital form via the 'Traveler' icon. The data needed to fill out the form are:
- Flight Details (Airplane number, Arrival Date and Time)
- Vaccination Details (Vaccine Certificate)
- Address in Malaysia
- Contacts that can be contacted Malaysia (Name and Telephone Number)
Each student is required to download the EMGS Connect application and complete the 'Pre-Entry Checklist' section.
Each new international student holding an e-Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) must also complete a student arrival form to notify the international office of travel details so they can arrange airport clearance and transportation.
Each new international student must also report themselves to the international office immediately after settling in a new place of residence, no later than the next working day.
